Cookies

In chemistry, we were given a project about having a cookie bake-off, which gave me the idea that I should write about cookies. There are many ways to make cookies. One way, which is my favorite, is to make them by scratch. Others ways would be to get packaged cookie dough that comes from stores or just simply buying one of those cookie dough mixes and adding the rest of the ingredients that are needed. One tip that I learned from baking cookies were that the earlier you take it out, the softer it will be. It may be hard to tell when it is a good time to take the cookies out, but always remember that the cookies will harden when they get a chance to cool off.

Cookies are everywhere and they are often the easiest thing to make. You can always find them. One of the greatest things about making it from scratch is being to save the cookie dough in the freezer for future use when you want to use them. It also lets you bake them to the size that you feel is necessary, whether you want them big or small. The hardest part about making cookies would probably be putting them on the cooking sheet and preparing them for the oven because the often is a really messy job. Here is one link that gives you a start to making the perfect cookies: http://www.chocolate-chip-cookie-recipe.com/

Banana bread

Banana Bread

On Sunday, my mom asked me if I wanted to make something to eat. I thought about it and at first I wasn't really in the mood. Although after awhile, i decided why not just because I didn't want to finish doing my homework. I wanted to try out this recipe for making banana bread. It called for ingredients like banana, flour, sugar, vanilla, butter, nuts, baking soda, eggs, baking powder, and a few other things. I had to put all the ingredients together and it worked out really well. One of the main keys that I found out about making banana bread were that the bananas had to be just overly in order to taste the banana and to make it really sweet.

Banana bread is a type of food that really takes a long time to cook. It is one of the recipes that are easiest to prepare, but it is also very tempting to wait for it to be done. Just imagine the really delicious aroma that surrounds you, while the banana bread is taking one full long hour to cook. In my opinion, it really is not difficult to prepare, but it often comes with being able to determine whether or not your bananas are ripe enough or not. There are also many different ways to make this bread, which I find very convenient. One way is to not add nuts in it and another way is it add some chocolate chips for that really sweet, chocolate taste. One recipe that I found was this, which I found at this website: click here.
3 med. ripe bananas
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. oil
1/2 c. walnuts (optional)
Mash bananas. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into greased bread pan. Bake about 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Introduction to my Blog:

Cooking is something that I would say I'm passionate about. It's a way of being able to express who you are and lets you show your creativity and personality by what you experience. For some, cooking is a way that makes people feel comfortable because they might like how it makes them feel. For others, it's a boring job and they would rather do something else than to cook. It's essential because eating is what keeps us alive. It's something that we need in order to stay alive and to remain healthy. We also get our nutrition from it. Personally, food is really good and like some people would say, " it's yummy in my tummy".
